Dad's Undefeated Buffalo Wings

These wings are extra crispy without deep-frying and coated in a bold, buttery Buffalo sauce with a tangy kick from apple cider vinegar.
Pro Tips for Perfect Air Fryer Wings
✅ Don’t overcrowd the basket – cook in batches if needed for even crispiness.
✅ Dry the wings well before seasoning to remove moisture.
✅ Baking powder is the secret to crispy skin—don’t skip it!
✅ Apple cider vinegar adds more depth – for an even bolder kick, let the sauce sit for 5 minutes before tossing the wings.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Frank's Red Hot Sauce
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2lb chicken wings, split
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp baking powder
Directions
1. Prep the Wings
1️⃣ Pat the wings dry with paper towels—removing moisture is key to getting crispy wings!
2️⃣ In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
2. Air Fry the Wings
3️⃣ Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
4️⃣ Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if necessary).
5️⃣ Air fry for 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes to ensure even crisping. The wings are done when they are golden brown and crispy.
3. Make the Buffalo Sauce
6️⃣ While the wings cook, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth.
4. Toss & Serve
7️⃣ Transfer the cooked wings to a large bowl and toss them in the Buffalo sauce until fully coated.
8️⃣ Serve immediately with celery, carrots, and blue cheese or ranch dressing.
