These wings are extra crispy without deep-frying and coated in a bold, buttery Buffalo sauce with a tangy kick from apple cider vinegar.

Pro Tips for Perfect Air Fryer Wings

Don’t overcrowd the basket – cook in batches if needed for even crispiness.
Dry the wings well before seasoning to remove moisture.
Baking powder is the secret to crispy skin—don’t skip it!
Apple cider vinegar adds more depth – for an even bolder kick, let the sauce sit for 5 minutes before tossing the wings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Frank's Red Hot Sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2lb chicken wings, split
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp baking powder

Directions

1. Prep the Wings

1️⃣ Pat the wings dry with paper towels—removing moisture is key to getting crispy wings!
2️⃣ In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.

2. Air Fry the Wings

3️⃣ Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
4️⃣ Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if necessary).
5️⃣ Air fry for 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes to ensure even crisping. The wings are done when they are golden brown and crispy.

3. Make the Buffalo Sauce

6️⃣ While the wings cook, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth.

4. Toss & Serve

7️⃣ Transfer the cooked wings to a large bowl and toss them in the Buffalo sauce until fully coated.
8️⃣ Serve immediately with celery, carrots, and blue cheese or ranch dressing.
